Steam servers no internet games responded to the query

Last edited by The Coconut ; 6 Mar, am. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I understand they are dated, but a few of the servers I play on are still active and alive and well. No games query with results. The entire server list is broken for any game I choose under the "Game" section of the Server List. Also, any favorites I have in the list show as "Not responding". I have adjusted everything possible in the "Server" listing.

Nothing results in anything other than "No Internet Games responded to the query". If yours is working, try Halflife2:deathmatch. Sexy Heisenberg Somewhat Threatening Sniper. This is a weird one for me. I know a lot of people have had this problem where Source games will find no servers, but I seem to have a unique situation.

It works fine when I first start up the game. But if I wait a few minutes at the main menu browsing servers, crafting, going through items, etc. But if I wait a couple more minutes, it goes back to normal and I can join games and refresh servers again. There was a thread a bit ago on [H] where someone could not connect to any TF2 servers and it was his router's firewall. Joined Jun 26, Messages 12, Anti-virus software can cause this, as can a firewall. Make sure both are off. At the Steam support site, you can find a knowledge base article which explains which ports need to be open. What specific problems have you had with Steam?
