Thanks for your feedback. Is that some sort of software that I need to turn on or maybe don't have? I'm 80 years old and my knowledge of this stuff is limited. Heck, I'm lucky to know what little I know.
Then, my intentions are to move the tunes I like best into a new playlist - then use that playlist to burn a blank CD so I'll have a new CD with just my favorites on it.
But - the darn thing keeps saying "connect a burner". You're adding on to a really old thread and perhaps you have a problem similar to one from two years ago and perhaps you don't. See the suggestions in my post from November 8, A "burner" in this context means a CD drive that is capable of recording CDs as well as reading playing them. Were you able to record CDs previously?
If so, are you using the same blank CDs as you used in the past there are different types and not all types work with all CD drives. What version of Windows do you have right click "My Computer" or "Computer" and select "Properties" for this information, and please include any service pack none, 1, 2, or 3.

The problem may be with WMP itself If it is connected, and you haven't yet created a list of files to burn, simply exit and then restart the Player. Once you do so, the Player should recognize your USB burner. If you had created a list of files to burn, you can save the list before exiting the Player by doing the following: 1. Type a name for the list, and then click Save.
