Finally, after a morning of frustration, I've got my serial to USB connection working and have got my terminal window connected to my Beagle board. Been struggling all day to get my Maplin cable to work with vista. Worked first time on an Xp machine but no joy at all with laptop running vista. I have also bought a Nikkai USB to serial converter and the disk does not seem to have the drivers on.

Not sure why. I really should remember to keep the CD! The driver off the CD doesn't work for me and the latest prolific driver doesn't seem to work either. I'm giving Westkills' driver a go which will hopefully work.
